What is PCOS?

The term “PCOS” refers to a prevalent hormonal condition in which there is an imbalance in female sex hormones. An abnormally high level of androgens is produced by a woman’s ovaries and adrenal glands in PCOS. Ovulation is impacted by the hormonal imbalance brought on by PCOS. High concentrations of these hormones prevent ovarian follicle growth and egg release during ovulation.
