Cinnamon or cinnamon powder is a spice that is made from the bark of trees scientifically known as Cinnamomum. This spice is extracted from the inner bark of the tree. The oily stalk is loaded with a compound called cinnamaldehyde. Hindi meaning of cinnamon is Dalchini and it is very common in Indian kitchen.

The ideal way to consume cinnamon with water is by making a cinnamon concoction. This can be easily done by boiling cinnamon with water.

Tip: If you are a busy mother, who can barely find time to touch her nose, you can make cinnamon lollies once a week. All you have to do is freeze the cinnamon concoction just like the ice-cubes in our refrigerators and add 2-3 cinnamon lollies to a glass of water everyday. It’s best to consume cinnamon 25-20 minutes before meals.
