Stories bringing out food tradition!

We speak to lots of parents, grandparents and great-grandparents about the Indian food tradition and some stories are simply nostalgic. All stories are special for us. They are raw, unfiltered, peculiarly nostalgic, and explain the contrast between traditional lifestyle/eating patterns and modern-day lifestyle/eating patterns in the most basic yet beautiful way. If you are a parent and this story took you down the memory lane, share with your friends and family.

We approach several individuals to understand their food journey. What were those moments that defined their memories and how did food become an integral part of it. Most of the stories that resonate with a wider audience are those of cousins in holidays. Mostly eating or planning what to eat. Stories of fruits being plucked straight from the neighbours kitchen garden. Or family eating together sharing a single large plate. The food and choices were predominantly set by the season. This helped fight seasonal illnesses, avoid indigestion and build immunity.
