Kids feedback on mixed millet pizza that is gluten free

Ingredients and Procedure:

  • 2 cups of flours (mix of any- whole wheat, ragi, sorghum, rye, amaranth, teff)
  • Add oregano seasoning and salt as per choice
  • Add 2 tbsp psyllium husk
  • 4 tbsp Iyurved’s daily nutrition savoury spread (order here)
  • Add whey protein liquid or whey protein powder + water (to make sticky dough)
  • Leave dough to rest and rise for 2-3 hours covered with dry cloth and loose lid
  • Once done, take a small ball of dough and roll using dry flour
  • Add tomato puree (or pizza sauce) and alfalfa sprouts, veggies/ greens and cheddar cheese on top
  • Preheat for 5 min at 220 celsius. Bake for 15 min and serve!

Ingredients & Procedure:

Pizza cup recipe by Iyurved

Dough:

  • Equal part Ragi flour or amaranth flour or Rye flour or Sorghum flour (any two)
  • Add salt and oregano
  • Add 2 tbsp psyllium husk (optional but good)
  • 1 boiled sweet potato (optional)
  • 1 tsp yeast (optional)
  • 5 tbsp Iyurved’s Weight Savoury spread (order)
  • water or yogurt to knead into sticky dough
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional but good)
  • Mix all this together into a sticky dough and leave to rise for 2 hours covered lightly with a cotton cloth and loose lid.
  • Preheat 5 minutes. Bake for 15 minutes at 200 Celsius.

Stuffing (follow video):

  • Sprouts of any kind (mung bean sprout, pea sprout or alfaalfa)
  • Cheddar cheese or vegan or any
  • chopped onions
  • chopped tomato
  • basil, pine nut, sesame spread (blend basil, garlic, pine nuts and sesame seeds, nut milk in a thick smooth paste form) or use Iyurved’s Weight Savoury spread (order)

Sweet Potato Millet Pizza

Rather a slice of Pizza can be made much healthier for kids’ breakfast than having cornflakes in the morning. Using the right combination of flour and seeds will add up to the required nutrition for the day.

INgredients:

Teff (African grain or use Jowar), Ragi, Singhada, Wholewheat, Potato starch or boiled potato or boiled sweet potato (to add softness) and Psyllium husk to bind the dough together. Iyurved’s daily nutrition savoury spread (order here)

PROCEDURE:

Follow the normal recipe of making the dough by replacing all purpose flour with the combination of flours used in equal proportions above. Add 2 Table spoons of Flaxseed powder to the dough. If you don’t have flaxseed then add psyllium husk. If your recipe calls for oil, use cold pressed seed/nut oil (coconut or sesame) to enhance nutrition even more. There is no oil mandatory in this recipe. Add ½ tsp salt and oregano powder for flavour. Leave the light to rise for 2-3 hours. These are not refined flours so will take more time to rise. Once risen, roll or press with your hand to make pizza base (use lots of flour to do that if it sticks to surface). Apply Iyurved’s daily nutrition savoury spread (order here) and pizza sauce, cheese and veggies if you like. Bake for 10-15 min at 220 Celsius (depends on how crispy you want the pizza).
You can also add nutritional yeast while making the dough to enhance nutrition and cheesy flavour.
