Let’s perform the lazy 8 with little ones to make it more fun:

  • Find a comfortable and quiet space where you can sit or stand.
  • Imagine a large number 8 lying horizontally in front of you.
  • Using your thumb or a pen, start tracing the 8 shapes slowly in the air.
  • As you trace, focus on making the loops of the 8 as smooth and continuous as possible.
  • Keep your eyes on you thumb or the pen as you trace the shape.
  • Try to coordinate your breathing with the movement, inhaling as you trace one loop and exhaling as you trace the other.
  • Gradually increase the speed if you feel comfortable.
