Gut-Brain Connection: How does it help in Speech delay?

meaning of gut

19-25 % of children aged below 5 years have delayed speech. A lot of parents have plenty of questions about their child’s developing speech skills. Like when do babies utter their first word? When can they hold a conversation? Well, without the brain, there would be no language because the human brain has a few areas that are specific to language processing and production. But, the brain is not the only player in this game. It is also critical to have a healthy gut in order to improve speech delay.  This read will help you understand the meaning of the gut and its vital role in brain health as well as in improving speech delay in kids.

PROVEN ROLE OF DIET in speech delay:

The “tug of war” we are concerned about in children with speech delays is the one between neurotransmitters – glutamate and GABA, important for speech development. We all know that processed foods are bad for us. But did you know that processed foods also contain a lot of glutamate? Glutamate can induce an imbalance in a neurotransmitter called GABA, which controls speech.

  • Excess glutamate causes nerve injury
  • Lack of GABA can delay language development

One of the most essential things to do with preverbal or speech-delayed children is to get their food right. Reduced glutamate consumption helps to restore balance in the gut. It is advisable to avoid any foods (as well as tonics/gummies) that contain (or cause the body to produce) glutamate, glutamic acid, aspartate, and/or aspartic acid and cysteine.

Identifying and removing food sensitivities has helped them to sleep better, focus better and also helped them develop speech and language capabilities.

To keep things simple, you have to understand the meaning of gut and brain connection and eliminate processed or refined foods.

HOW PREBIOTIC GUT DRINK WILL HELP TO IMPROVE SPEECH DELAY:

Prebiotics can help you improve your response time, mood, learning memory, speech, and working memory. Here is the simplest way to feed prebiotics to your child everyday.

(1) 1 serving of PREBIOTIC GUT DRINK will provide prebiotic essential for healthy gut.

(2) Combine PREBIOTIC GUT DRINK with 1 spoon of BRAIN BOOSTER chocolate Spread to maintain a healthy gut and improve speech delay.

Meaning ofGut and Brain connection”:

The gut-brain relationship isn’t a joke. Have you ever “felt nauseated” in particular situations? Have you ever had the sensation of “butterflies” in your stomach? These idioms are used to explain the meaning of gut. Emotions have an impact on the gastrointestinal tract. Anger, worry, grief, and joy are just a few of the emotions that can cause symptoms in the gut.

The enteric nervous system, or ENS, is a network of nerves in your stomach that functions similarly to the brain. It’s also known as the “second brain”. For all of these processes to function smoothly, a balance must be maintained in the gut microbiome made up of billions of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and even parasites.

INGREDIENTS OF PREBIOTIC GUT DRINK POWDER

GUT and BRAIN have a strong connection. Keeping the GUT healthy results in a healthy brain. Adding foods that support brain development can help to improve language development.

(1) FRUCTO-OLIGOSACCHARIDES (FOS):

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are an excellent source of prebiotics that promote growth of healthy gut bacteria. Prebiotics can help you improve your response time, mood, learning memory, speech, and working memory. It is safe to consume daily dosages of 5-10 g to boost brain function (learning and working memory) and behaviour (anxiety and mood).

(2) CITRUS FRUITS:

Lemon and orange are the two best sources of citric acid or vitamin C. Supplementing citrus acid in the diet can help to improve learning, memory and language and boost cognitive performance, thereby helping in overall brain health.

(3) STEVIA

It is a great sugar alternative for refined sugar and is highly beneficial for kids with speech delay or hyperactivity. It’s sweet and safe (approved by FDA) in its natural form. It has no carbohydrates, calories or any artificial ingredients and is called a “zero-calorie” sweetener.

exfoliate naturally

Exfoliation is the key to resolving most skin problems, including decreasing and avoiding breakouts, fading post-breakout blemishes, clearing congested pores, and imparting a Glow!! However, exfoliation can be done in a variety of ways. Which method you choose and how often you exfoliate should be determined by your skin type. Most importantly, the use of natural exfoliants is preferred for excellent exfoliation. Many exfoliants available on the market are harsh on the skin and can cause serious damage. Continue reading to know how to exfoliate your skin with 10 easy and effective home remedies based on your skin type.

WHATSAPP for concerns like Speech Delay, Low Weight, Frequent Illness, Hyperactivity, Low Concentration, Weak Eyesight, Improper Sleep, Pigmentation, Pores, Face Marks, Fine Lines , Lactation etc.

What is Exfoliation?

Exfoliation is the technique of using a substance to gently scrub your skin in order to get smooth, clear skin. It is the removal of dead skin cells from the superficial layers of the skin. It can also help to brighten and enhance the appearance of your skin by removing dry or dull skin and improving blood circulation. Exfoliation can be done in two ways: chemically and physically. Chemical exfoliants employ alpha-hydroxy acids to exfoliate dead skin on a molecular level, whereas physical exfoliants physically wear away debris and dead cells.

Natural exfoliation benefits:

  • Remove the dead skin cells
  • Promote new cell growth

know your skin type to exfoliate naturally:

Just a gentle reminder before we get started, if you’re going to use a homemade scrub or any scrub, for that matter best it’s to know your skin type first. You can take better care of your skin if you are aware of its specific characteristics. The amount of oil or sebum produced by your skin determines your skin type, which is split into five categories:

To know more about your skin type click here

If you have sensitive skin or a significant skin problem, you should exfoliate with caution. “When exfoliating your skin, it’s important not to rub your face too hard,” says the expert.

10 DIY SCRUBS TO EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN NATURALLY:

1. Sugar

Sugar contains glycolic acid, a natural chemical exfoliator that can assist in the separation of dead cells from new cells in the skin’s outermost layer. When gently applied, this can support the removal of dead skin in a safe and effective manner. Sugar scrubs are great exfoliants for those with dry skin.

Mix a half-cup sugar with enough olive or grape-seed oil to make a paste and apply it to the face in a circular motion. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then wash away with warm water.

2. Papaya

Papain, an enzyme found in papaya, is a potent exfoliant. Papain breaks down the keratin in dead skin cells, which helps to avoid blocked pores, infection, and improves skin suppleness. It promotes blood circulation and improves skin elasticity. It is found to be an ideal exfoliant for combination or oily skin because these skin types tend to overproduce sebum, resulting in clogged pores.

Make a smooth paste out of fresh papaya. Apply with your fingertips in a circular motion to your face and leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

3. Rice Flour

Rice flour is abrasive enough to exfoliate all of your dead skin cells. This scrub is ideal for people who have oily skin. The rice flour exfoliates the skin, while the honey hydrates it.

Combine a teaspoon of rice flour and half a teaspoon of honey in a small mixing bowl. Scrub your face for one minute with the mixture, then leave it on for two minutes before washing it off.

4. Coffee

Ground coffee acts as a great manual exfoliator, scrubbing away dead cells and dirt. Caffeine has also been proven to plump skin and reverses ageing symptoms like wrinkles and dark patches. So it’s good for dry skin.

To make a thick paste, combine a one-quarter teaspoon of used coffee grounds with one tablespoon of your favourite natural oil (adjust amounts as needed to achieve thick consistency). Apply on your face in a circular motion with your fingers. Allow for a five-minute rest period. Rinse well with water.

5. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is soft and non-irritating for most people and is known for its medicinal anti-inflammatory effects. Take one tablespoon finely ground oats and one tablespoon honey in a small mixing bowl. Apply on your face in a circular motion, leave it for 5-10 minutes and wash off with water.

For persons with dry or sensitive skin, oatmeal is an excellent ingredient in exfoliating scrubs. Make sure you’re using organic oats that have not been exposed to pesticides or chemicals.

6. Honey

Honey is not only good for your health, but it’s also good for your skin. It has antimicrobial and humectant qualities that help to promote healing and hydration. Honey scrub is ideal for oily skin.

Take a little amount of honey. Apply to your face in a circular motion to exfoliate and later rinse with sufficient water.

7. Turmeric

Turmeric is a capable exfoliator in addition to being a multipurpose spice. It is an excellent exfoliator for all skin types, but particularly sensitive skin.

To make a paste, combine one teaspoon of ground turmeric with yoghurt, natural oil, or water. Apply in a circular motion to your face and allow for a 10-minute rest period before washing with water.

8. LEMON

Along with the skin lightening or bleaching properties, lemon can also be used to exfoliate the skin. This can serve to be an ideal scrub when combined with sugar and honey which acts as a scrubbing and moisturising agent respectively.

Take a slice of freshly cut lemon. On it add some sugar and honey. Gently massage your face for a few minutes. Rest it for a minute or two. Rinse with cold water. If you feel it drying out, apply honey and rinse.

9. Pineapple

Pineapple is one of the fruits that have natural exfoliating properties. Take a few pineapple slices, crush them, and drain the juice. Apply to the face in a circular motion with an equal quantity of honey. It should be kept for 3 minutes before washing off.

10. Banana

Bananas are an excellent exfoliant, helping to remove excess sebum from the skin’s surface.

Mash the banana and then combine it with the oatmeal powder. Apply the paste and massage it in a circular motion. Allow it to dry completely before washing with water.

Exfoliation is an important part of the skincare routine. It helps in removing the dead skin and other impurities from the skin. This step also helps in better absorption of the actives from the other products and improves the skin texture. You should not exfoliate on a daily basis but make it a part of your regime a few times a week.

Baby Poop Types and Colour: What does it mean?

poop types

A new mother’s journey is both exciting and frightening too. Many things become a part of your daily routine as a new mother, from nursing to changing poopy diapers. While changing diapers, you will come across a wide range of colours and textures that may be both alarming and frightening. The colour of your baby’s poop types might indicate how healthy he or she is. Your baby’s faeces will change colour as their diet changes, especially throughout the first year of life. Poop may provide a range of information, such as the balance of their gut microorganisms, how their bodies react to foods, and whether or not they have adequate stomach acid and bile. So, let’s take a closer look at what your child’s poop types and colour could be telling you about their general health.

Also check,What is the right age for potty training?

WHATSAPP to talk an expert!!

What is Poop?

A potty/poop is a collection of whatever remains after food has passed through the digestive tract. This matter is made of water, bacteria, undigested food, fibre, trace quantities of fat, mucus, and other proteins. There are no globally acknowledged criteria for characterising typical faeces since it varies considerably from person to person and day to day. In general, healthy poop should take less than 10 minutes to excrete, come out smoothly and painlessly, be brown in colour, and be formed like a tube or a banana.

HOW ROUTINELY DO BABIES POOP?

One of the commonly asked questions by every new mom is “How routinely do babies poop?”. If your infant does not poop on a daily basis, this does not always signify a concern. A newborn may have little bowel movements at first. If you’re breastfeeding your child, he or she may only defecate once a week. If your child is formula-fed, bowel movements should occur at least once per day. Anything less than this may indicate constipation, however, some formula-fed newborns do not excrete on a daily basis. When your child starts eating solids, he or she will almost certainly have a bowel movement every day. At any moment, pooping more than once after each feeding might imply diarrhea.

BABY POOP TYPES:

After birth, babies pass faeces of varying consistency. Here’s a table to help you understand the different poop types your infant will pass each day.

TypesDescription
1Separate, hard lump
2Sausage-shaped but lumpy
3Like a sausage but with cracks on the surface
4Smooth and soft sausage-shaped or snake-like
5Soft blobs with clear-cut edges
6Mushy consistency with ragged edges
7 Entirely liquid or watery (no solid pieces)
Poop types

Usually, Type 1 and 2 faeces indicate hard, difficult-to-pass stools, indicating constipation. Types 3 and 4 denote the ideal stools. Types 5, 6, and 7 exhibits a faeces pattern that is more prone to diarrhea.

What does baby poop colour mean?

Poop is mainly made up of broken down food, the foods your child consumes can have a big impact on the colour of his or her poop! Let us have a look at the different poop colours and what they could actually mean.

1.Greenish black in colour

Meconium faeces(Poop) occurs for two to three days after birth (on usual). It’s sticky, and it’s made up of mucus, skin cells, and amniotic fluid. It will turn olive/khaki coloured after three to four days, indicating that the breast milk or formula has been effectively digested. If it hasn’t appeared within 24 hours of birth, consult your doctor.

2.Yellow with a tint of green

Breastfed babies have a yellowish-green poop that is often described as mustard in colour. It may contain small seed-like fragments and could be extremely runny. Depending on your diet, it may turn greener.

In kids, green stools are usually related to consuming green foods (e.g. spinach), or the stool may have passed through the intestines faster than usual, giving less time for the brown bilirubin pigment to be picked up.

3.Vibrant shade of green

A poop that is bright green or algae-coloured/textured could indicate that the smaller baby is getting too much foremilk (the milk that comes first in a feed), requiring the baby to spend more time on each breast to reach the more nutritious milk.

4.Peanut butter-colored

Peanut butter-coloured poop is common in formula-fed babies. It’s tan-brown, yellow-brown, or green-brown in colour and smells a little stronger than breast milk poop.

5.Dark green colour

If you’re taking an iron supplement, your baby’s poop may occasionally become dark green. It’s also likely that eating a lot of really green food has anything to do with it. If you aren’t taking a supplement and don’t believe the green is caused by food, consult your doctor.

6. Brown

The poop will be browner and smellier once your baby is weaned off the breast/formula and onto solids. It will be thicker, but not completely solid. Poop should typically be brown in a healthy child. This is due to the presence of bilirubin, a pigment produced during the regular breakdown of red blood cells in the body.

7.Rainbow-brown

If your baby’s poop contains undigested food, it might mean that food is moving too rapidly through the digestive tract or that some of the food is indigestible. Among the veggies on the exhibit were orange carrots, red beets, and blueberries. It’s also conceivable that the youngster isn’t properly eating his or her food. If this continues for a lengthy period of time, get medical attention.

Also check, Fibre rich foods to treat constipation.

8.Yellow-green-brown colour combination

Diarrhea is the one thing that parents are afraid of. It is potentially explosive because it looks to contain more water than solids. Consult your doctor if you observe this in a baby under the age of three months. Sometimes, it may last for a short amount of time (as little as two or three diapers) or it may last for more than 24 hours. Diarrhea, if untreated, can cause dehydration.

Also check,10 effective home remedies and foods for diarrhea in kids

9.Red lines

If the poop is pebbly and dry, with red streaks, it’s possible that the baby is constipated, and the hard, dry stool is causing tiny tears in the anus’s skin. You may include plenty of water, prunes/apricots, grains, and high-fibre vegetables in the baby’s diet.

Also check, Fibre-rich recipes for kids

Keep an eye out for any unusual changes in your child’s stool colour that last more than a few days. This may indicate that more investigation is required and you should visit a doctor.

We hope you are now clear with what kind of poop is normal and what is not. The poop types and colour is usually determined by the diet that the child feeds on. Healthy stools are soft and somewhat brown in colour while some poop colour may indicate might indicate a health problem that requires care. In general, a wide variety of poop colours is healthy as long as a newborn is gaining weight and eating as frequently as they require.

Growth Spurts in Kids: When do they happen?

growth spurt means

In the first several months, your newborn infant will grow quickly, and you might think he or she has grown overnight!!! Sometimes you will notice sudden changes in their appetite, sleep patterns, and even their mood. This can indicate a growth spurt. Growth spurt means short periods of time during which your child’s height and weight rapidly increase. They are a normal part of your child’s development and occur at different stages of their childhood until they reach physical maturity. Continue reading to learn what growth spurt means, their signs and how to deal with them.

WHATSAPP for concerns like Speech Delay, Low Weight, Frequent Illness, Hyperactivity, Low Concentration, Weak Eyesight, Improper Sleep, Pigmentation, Pores, Face Marks, Fine Lines , Lactation etc.

What does growth spurt means ?

Growth spurt means rapid physical changes that occur as your child grows up, such as increases in height and weight. Baby’s growth spurt normally lasts only a few days. In this duration, they will need to breastfeed more frequently and for longer periods of time to keep up with their physical development. The baby may be fussier than usual, and his or her sleep patterns may be disrupted. Every day, your baby grows and adds weight, but a baby growth spurt is usually fast and sudden.

When do babies have growth spurt?

Every individual child may go through a growth spurt at a different age. When your baby is born, the paediatrician will give you a chart to keep track of his or her growth stages. This is based on a WHO chart that records the height, weight, and head circumference of babies according to their age.

According to the average data, your baby will go through a growth spurt throughout the following stages of their first year:

  • 1 – 3 weeks
  • 6 – 8 weeks
  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months

Between the ages of 8 and 15 years, a child’s second growth spurt takes place. A growth spurt could last from two to three days to a week. Babies’ growth spurts are usually shorter, lasting up to three days, whereas teenage growth spurts can last up to a week. Some toddlers grow at a consistent rate throughout their toddler years, while others gain a few inches in a matter of months.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF GROWTH SPURTS:

The signs and symptoms described below may indicate that your child is going to go through growth spurts.

1. Outgrowing their clothes and shoes quickly:

Clothing that no longer fits your child is a classic sign that they are going through one of their growth stages. As their legs get longer, toddlers can quickly outgrow their pants. Some toddlers grow at a consistent rate throughout their toddler years, while others gain a few inches in a matter of months.

2. New ability:

Toddlers’ brain development is one of the numerous characteristics of their growth spurts. You will notice your child making rapid progress in areas like language and motor skills.

3. Appetite increase:

Your toddler’s calorie intake will increase as their body matures. Because toddlers are usually quite active, seeing your child’s hunger increase is common, but it could also indicate that your child is going through a growth spurt.

4. Cravings:

Toddlers frequently have a favourite food. Growth spurts, on the other hand, can lead your child to crave foods that contain the vitamins and minerals he or she requires.

5. Mood swings occur:

Your child may get fatigued and irritable as a result of bodily changes. Hormonal fluctuations can also affect their mood.

6. Growing pains are inevitable:

When children grow, they frequently experience mild pains and stiffness. Because their limbs are painful from growing pains, your child may be cranky, weary, or fussy.

7.Sleepiness:

Growing up can be exhausting!! Even if your child was formerly a champion sleeper, they may now be waking up at all hours of the night, restless, and hungry. Your kid may appear to be more exhausted than normal. As their bodies release growth hormone while they sleep, make sure they get the rest they require.

8. CRANKIness:

All toddlers can be clumsy, but limbs growing rapidly creates an additional coordination challenge.

CauseS of growth spurt:

Growth spurts are caused by your child’s genetic profile or the genes they receive from their parents. The genes of your child will decide how tall they grow and how quickly they achieve their maximum height. Environmental conditions can influence your child’s growth, including:

  • Diet and nutrition.
  • Exposure to negative substances in the water or atmosphere (pollution or lead).
  • Abnormal fetal health or pregnancy complications.

How to deal with growth spurt?

During your child’s growth spurt, you can help them by doing the following:

  • Providing them with more meals to satisfy their hunger.
  • Encourage good sleeping habits and regular bedtimes.
  • Pay attention to the baby’s overall health.
  • Patience with their fluctuating emotions.

Also check, Food for enough nutrition

Foods required during the growth spurts in kids:

The child’s body needs a sufficient amount of vitamins and minerals to grow properly in the duration of the growth spurt. A nutritious diet plan must provide all the essential nutrients like carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water in the required amounts. Requirements of essential nutrients vary with age, gender, physiological status and physical activity.

These are some foods that you should add to their diet for the complete nutrition of kids

CARBOHYDRATES:

Carbohydrates are also known as energy giving foods. It provides glucose, which is converted to energy and further used in body functioning and physical activities which helps to reduce tiredness during the growth spurt. Foods rich in carbohydrates are an important part of a healthy diet.

PROTEIN:

Protein is the body’s building block and repair agent. It also helps them to build a healthy and strong body during the growth spurt. It’s also integral in forming enzymes and hormones in the body. (What are some easy sources of protein for kids?)

IRON:

It is an important dietary mineral that is essential for the growth and development of kids both physical and mental growth. Iron helps form haemoglobin that is found in the blood cells of the body. (Foods for Iron deficiency)

CALCIUM:

One of the most important minerals in our body is CALCIUM. Calcium consumption during a growth spurt has a good impact on bone. Bones are 70% calcium and it is only calcium that gives bones their hardness for protection and support. Bones also serve as the calcium bank of the body.

VITAMINS:

Vitamin plays an important role during the growth spurts as it helps the body grow and work the way it should. There are 13 essential Vitamins — Vitamins A, C, D, E, K, and Vitamin Bs. Some help in eyesight and energy production, while others support healthy nerves and cells and in fighting infection. (Importance of different vitamins for kids)

HEALTHY FATS:

During the period of growth spurts, physical and brain development is at its peak point. Healthy fats are crucial to brain and overall physical development and can help stabilise mood. Also help with healthy metabolism, blood clotting and letting the body absorb vitamins.

FIBRE:

Fibre is a non-digestible carbohydrate. It is responsible for keeping our digestion healthy and regular. Lack of fibre rich food in diet may cause constipation, which creates a nutrient-deficient disease. In growth spurt nutrient requirement is more from the body. (Fibre-rich foods for constipation)

Your adorable newborn will be a kid before you realise it, racing about and making you chase them. So take advantage of this newborn stage, and comfort and assist them during any unpleasant growth spurt days with a little extra love and care.

10 Best Homemade Skin Peels For Face

skin peels on face

Every woman prefers lavishing additional care on her skin. When it comes to parlours, they love them to the utmost since they can refresh and calm themselves, as well as give their skin a gorgeous makeover. On the other hand, frequent visits to the salon may be inconvenient and wasteful. Then how about a home-based facial that delivers salon-quality results? Well!! Here are some of the greatest professional and salon-quality skin peels for the face that you can make at home. (Quick tips for skincare routine for healthy skin)

What is a facial peel?

Facial peels are skin rejuvenation procedures for the face. Cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturising are the four fundamentals of a healthy facial. Facials serve a variety of objectives, and various skin types require different sorts of nourishment. Fine lines, wrinkles, UV damage, pore size, acne, pigmentation, and other skin conditions can all be treated with a skin peel for face. Physical and chemical peeling are the two forms of face peels available. Scrubbing and exfoliation are the only methods of physical peeling. Chemical peels are resurfacing procedures for the face, hands, and neck. They are applied to the skin to improve its appearance or feel. During this process, chemical solutions will be administered to the treated region, causing the skin to exfoliate and peel off.

These home remedies are inexpensive because they simply call for a few common ingredients that you may already have on hand. These natural remedies are simple to make, safe to use and provide long-term benefits. So, why not try one of the homemade skin peels for face?  (9 Natural ways for hair fall control)

1. Yoghurt and cane sugar

Natural exfoliation is provided by the cane sugar, while hydration is restored by the yoghurt. This facial peel can be used to treat dark spots because the natural glycolic acid (yoghurt) helps to even out the skin.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tbsp plain white cane sugar and yoghurt and make a granulated paste.  Apply the paste to your face and neck in a uniform manner. Allow 15 minutes for it to rest and wash away with cold water.

2. Chamomile and cucumber

Chamomile tea soothes irritated skin, while cucumber contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C), which can soothe skin irritations and help reduce swelling. (Health benefits of chamomile)

Combine 1/2 cup brewed chamomile and green tea with a little pack of gelatin to make this peel. Mix well until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Then add 1 tbsp of aloe vera juice and cucumber juice. Refrigerate the mixture for 10 minutes and apply it to your face and neck. After the peel has dried, remove it or wash it with cold water.

3. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has long been touted as a natural way to reduce the appearance of acne scars because it removes dead skin cells and helps regenerate the top layers of the skin.

In a bowl, add 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar and applesauce, mix well. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes before removing it with a soft cloth and water.

4. Papaya

Papaya has rejuvenating enzymes that exfoliate, cleanse the skin and give it a healthy glow.

Take papaya puree, add 4 tbsp of mineral water, gelatin and mix well. Allow it to thicken by refrigerating for 5 minutes. Apply the mixture to your face and allow it to dry completely. Then peel off and wash away with lukewarm water.

5.Orange and lime

This peel helps those who suffer from acne because it deeply cleanses pores and has an antibacterial action that keeps acne from reappearing. The acid in Vitamin C also acts as a bleaching agent, which can help restore uneven skin tone and fade blemishes.

Add 1/2 cup of water, a tablespoon of fresh orange juice, and another tablespoon of lime juice to a saucepan over medium heat. Allow a small pack of unflavored gelatin to dissolve completely. Then, add a freshly pureed tomato to the mixture and allow it to cool before refrigerating to thicken. After 25 minutes, remove it and apply it evenly to your skin with a facial mask brush. When the mask is completely dry, peel it off and wash your face with lukewarm water.

6.Tomato

Tomatoes are a natural way to reduce the appearance of pores and shrink them. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp fresh orange juice, and 1 tbsp lime juice. Allow a small package of unflavored gelatin to thoroughly dissolve. Then stir in a freshly pureed tomato and set aside to chill before refrigerating to thicken. Remove it after 25 minutes and apply it evenly on the skin. Peel off the mask when it’s totally dried and wash your face with lukewarm water. (How to protect the vitamin in tomatoes from reducing?)

7.Lemon

Lemon juice is naturally high in vitamin C, an antioxidant that aids in the prevention of skin damage and premature ageing. Take 1/4 cup small granulated white cane sugar, and also adequate lemon or lime juice to make a uniform paste. Stir the mixture well and then with your fingertips, apply the mixture on your face and neck evenly avoiding the eyes. Allow the peel to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

8.Pineapple and papaya

It is an excellent homemade chemical peel for the face. Combine papaya, pineapple paste, honey in the bowl and make a thick paste. Then, using your fingertips, evenly apply the mask to your face and neck. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

9.Raspberry

It is rich in vitamin C, thereby helping in collagen production and preventing skin damage. Applying the raspberry, milk and honey mix on the face can give a natural glow and help in skin lightening.

10.Egg white and cucumber

This combination helps to naturally reduce wrinkles and moisturise the skin. Combine egg white and cucumber pulp, add a few drops of lemon juice. Mix well, apply it on your face and leave for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

Skin peels for the face or facial peels provide not only esthetic but also psychological benefits. Your skin will feel both revitalised and relaxed as a result of these skin peels. Treat yourself to a luxurious facial at home and flaunt younger-looking, beautiful skin without investing a lot of time, energy, or money at a salon.

How to get rid of stretch marks:10 Best Home Remedies

stretch marks reason

Stretch marks are a typical problem that everyone has encountered at some point in their lives. Have you ever wondered why you have these marks (stretch marks reason) and what you may do to get rid of them? Stretch marks are most common in men and women and are most usually associated with pregnancy, but did you know that dieting and weight loss may also result in stretch marks? They aren’t painful or harmful, but they can make your skin appear unattractive. This article will highlight the stretch marks reason, types and home remedies. (Dry and chapped lips: Home remedies)

What is a stretch mark?

Stretch marks are scars that appear when our skin expands or shrinks rapidly. Collagen and elastin, which hold our skin together, burst as a result of the sudden change. Stretch marks may develop while the skin recovers. These tiny bands do not appear on everyone’s skin. Hormone levels that fluctuate appear to have a role. If you have a family history of stretch marks, you may be at a higher risk. (5 foods to manage hormonal imbalance in kids and teens)

Stretch marks reason/ causes:

There are several causes or reason for stretch marks, but these are the most common.

  • Puberty-related growth spurts
  • Pregnancy
  • Weight gain or loss
  • Use of corticosteroids
  • Body building
  • Genetics
  • Rare medical disorders like Cushing’s syndrome, Marfan’s syndrome etc.

Types of stretch marks:

Stretch marks can emerge in a variety of colours, including red, purple, pink, reddish-brown, and dark brown, depending on your skin tone. Among them, red and white are commonly observed while grey and purple marks are unusual. It’s possible that early stretch marks are itchy. Over time, the colour fades and the tiny bands absorb into your skin. A little indentation is usually felt when you run your finger across a mature stretch mark.

1. Red stretch marks:

Also called Striae rubrae, is the most severe stage of stretch marks displaying the first physical signs of stretched skin. Signs of inflammation caused by overstretching are most visible at this stage, and the affected skin turns pink/red or violaceous in colour. Markings may appear flat, but they can also be raised slightly. Stretch marks at this stage can become pruritic (itchy), but they are mostly asymptomatic.

2. White stretch marks:

Also known as Striae Albae have irregularly formed, and hypopigmented (faded/white) stretch marks at this point. When blood vessels shrink, the fat beneath the skin becomes apparent, resulting in small tears on the skin. It may take longer to cure the white stretch marks because they are mature.

10 HOME REMEDIES To reduce STRETCH MARKS:
